About the KCRP Trust

What is the KCRP Trust?

The trust is a formal group initiated by Rotary to raise and administer funds for cycleways, walkways and bridleways in the Kapiti district. These pathways will combine to form "He ara Waewae a Kapiti" - the Kapiti Coast pathways. It is registered as a charity and is non-profit. All trustees are non-paid volunteers.

What does the Trust aim to achieve?

The main objective of the Trust is:

  • To support funding towards the construction of a North/South pathway for cycle/walk/bridleways between Paekakariki and Otaki for the general benefit of residents and visitors.
  • The secondary objective is to support funding for paths linking to this North/south pathway. The pathways will be completed in stages, determined by the level of fundraising.

Why a trust?

To allow the community to gain the benefits of the pathways as soon as possible. Community donations and other funds given to the Trust will greatly speed up the formation of the pathways for your benefit. The Trust can access funding not available to local government and unregistered organisations.
